Automation campaigns allow you to send targeted emails based on specific actions or triggers, such as when a customer subscribes to your list, celebrates a birthday, or abandons their cart.
Navigate to the Automations section and click Add New to start creating a new automation campaign.
Choose the trigger that will activate your campaign. Triggers are actions that prompt automated emails to be sent. Below are the common trigger types available:
Welcome New Subscribers: Automatically send a welcome email when someone subscribes to your audience. Introduce yourself or your organization to new contacts.
Say ‘Happy Birthday’: Send a celebratory email on a subscriber’s birthday, offering a special discount or message.
Subscriber Added Date: Trigger an email to be sent based on when a subscriber joined your list.
Specific Date: Send a one-time email based on a specific date, such as an appointment reminder or anniversary message.
Say Goodbye to Subscriber: Send a farewell message when someone unsubscribes from your list.
API 3.0: Set up a trigger through an API call from your application to launch a series of emails based on external actions (requires developer integration).
Weekly Recurring: Automatically send an email every week on a specific day.
Monthly Recurring: Schedule an email to be sent on a specific day each month.
After selecting the contact list and naming your campaign, you'll move on to designing the flow of actions in your automation.
Add an Action: Customize the flow by choosing actions to streamline communication and personalize the experience for each customer. Here are the available actions:
Send an Email: Send an automated email when triggered by an event or activity.
Wait: Introduce a delay between actions. For example, if you’re sending a series of emails, you can wait a day or two before sending the next one.
Evaluate a Condition: Perform actions based on conditions such as whether a previous email was opened or clicked. If the condition is met, the next action in the flow will proceed.
Operation: Perform operations like updating, copying, moving, or tagging contacts in your list based on certain triggers or conditions.
After setting up the flow with actions and conditions, review the workflow. Once satisfied, confirm the automation setup and launch your campaign. The system will now automatically send emails based on the triggers and flow you defined.
